Guatemala Huehuetenango SHB

(1 customer review)

Guatemala produces some of the world’s finest and most distinctive coffees. The country’s unique coffee producing regions have gained a positive and well known reputation in the industry. Coffee is Guatemala’s number one export contributing to the country’s growing economic status.

These Guatemalan green beans have been grown and processed in Huehuetenango, one of Guatemala’s three non-volcanic regions. Because its the highest and driest under cultivation, it is considered one of the best for coffee production.

Currents of hot air sweep up from the Plains of Tehuantepec, in Oaxaca, Mexico, and mix here with the cool air descending from the Cuchumatanes Mountains, creating a microclimate that’s protected from frost and allowing coffee to be cultivated at up to 2,000 meters. These particular Strictly Hard Beans are grown at elevations of 1450m, and have undergone wet processing then outdoor patio drying to achieve its good acidity and body.

Full City Roast

Bold, yet buttery smooth this quality coffee contains notes of dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of orange. It consistently produces a flavour that is round in body, and of medium acidity.
SHB stands for “Strictly Hard Bean” meaning that the plants have been grown in high altitudes and the beans are considered to be of high quality.
