Description

Guatemala produces some of the world’s finest and most distinctive coffees. The country’s unique coffee producing regions have gained a positive and well known reputation in the industry. Coffee is Guatemala’s number one export contributing to the country’s growing economic status.

Hidden amongst the highlands of Huehuetenango, the location of coffee farms associated with Cooperativa Todos Santos ASODIETT begin at the highest point of the Sierra de Los Cuchumatanes, 3,200 masl and descends down 800m, to surround the town, Todos Santos. From there one continues further downward to the village of Tuiboch consisting of 3,000 people. Surrounding this village exists the coffee farming communities that make up this coffee cooperative.

The Cooperative wash and sort the newly delivered coffee then forward it on to Los Volcanes Coffee, this coffee is blended expertly to create the very best of what’s available at any given moment.

Los Volcanes Coffee work with coffee producers in Brazil and Guatemala. Los Volcanes Coffee, Inc. is a green coffee trading company with a commitment to supply chain responsibility with emphasis on social, economic, and environmental considerations in all relationships with suppliers. They create quality by increasing productivity at farm level and establishing long term relationships. They spend time identifying the key elements unique to each coffee producing area to maximize the flavour of the coffee grown and it’s productivity potential. The team then proceeds to implement programs that will help the producers have a better understanding of their growing conditions and processing methods. These programs are based upon the interaction people have with plants and soil in order to build a balanced and healthy environment.
