Eccles Pike Espresso

Reminds us of Chocolate, ripe forest fruit, honey and walnut.

So we take the Brazilian beans and blend them with some of our other arabica beans on offer, from Indonesia and Kenya, to balance the beverage and give it the right amount of depth for your enjoyment.

Though this is an espresso blend, it can be enjoyed ground and brewed as cafetiere or Aeropress drink. We recommend it for those looking for a fuller flavour coffee.

Description

This Espresso Blend is a great coffee. We’ve chosen a base bean from the Cerrado region of Brazil. The Cerrado itself is the youngest coffee growing area in Brazil, covering around 1.2 million square miles of central Brazil -approximately 23% of the country – the world’s 5th largest. Primarily tropical grassland savannah, it’s home to around 935 species of birds and nearly 300 types of mammal, including endangered species, and almost 5,000 plants that are found nowhere else in the world.

Lo Ely smooth full coffee’ well balanced and not bitter. (I don’t understand the trend for bitter espresso). Good easy drinking as an Americano or espresso. I tasted it last week in Rosie’s café (I think it is now called Rosie Lee) in Hayfield and bought a bag of beans. The beans are put into my bean to cup Melitta machine and it is superb. I am ordering more right now! I hope I have rated 5 stars but can’t easily see the stars.

Came across this coffee at the Birch Vale cafe at the start of the year and have only used Peak Bean beans since. Have tried several varieties. All lovely but in our house, Eccles Pike is everyone’s favourite. Five stars from us all.
